About The Role:

We are looking for an experienced and highly technical Senior Data Engineer to design, build, and optimize our data infrastructure and data pipelines. You will be responsible for ensuring that all critical data – from billing transactions and network usage to CRM interactions and app analytics – is clean, accurate, and readily available for analysis, product features, and operational systems.

This high-impact role requires an engineer who can own the reliability and scalability of our entire data ecosystem, transforming raw, high-volume telecom data into actionable insights for the business.

What You’ll Be Doing:

  • Pipeline Construction: Design, build, and maintain robust, scalable ETL/ELT data pipelines using modern cloud technologies and tools to ingest data from various operational systems (BSS/OSS, CRM, App logs).
  • Data Warehousing: Lead the design and implementation of our centralized Data Warehouse and Data Marts, ensuring optimal schema design, indexing, and partitioning for performance.
  • Data Quality & Governance: Implement comprehensive data validation, monitoring, and alerting tools to ensure the highest standards of data quality, integrity, and security across all environments.
  • Performance Tuning: Optimize slow-running queries, data loads, and transformation processes to meet strict service level agreements (SLAs) for data freshness.
  • Cloud Infrastructure: Manage and provision data-related cloud resources (IaaS/PaaS) with a strong focus on cost optimization and automation (Infrastructure as Code).
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration: Partner with BI Analysts, Data Scientists, and Software Engineers to understand their data needs and deliver tailored data solutions and APIs.
  • Mentorship: Provide technical guidance and mentorship to junior engineers, championing best practices in coding standards, version control, and continuous integration/continuous deployment (CI/CD).
  • Tool Evaluation: Research and evaluate new technologies and tools to improve the efficiency, scalability, and reliability of our data platform.

Qualifications & Experience

  • 5+ years of professional experience in a Data Engineering, BI Engineering, or Data Warehouse development role.
  • Deep expertise in relational and NoSQL databases, and advanced proficiency in SQL and Python for data manipulation and scripting.
  • Proven experience building and optimizing cloud-based data warehouses (e.g., Snowflake, AWS Redshift, Google BigQuery).
  • Strong practical experience with workflow orchestration tools (e.g., Apache Airflow, Prefect).
  • Experience with real-time data streaming technologies (Kafka, Kinesis) is highly desirable.
  • Familiarity with DevOps practices and tools (e.g., Git, CI/CD, Docker, Kubernetes).
  • BS/MS in CS/Data/Software Engineering or equivalent quantitative field.

What You May Expect

  • This is a chance to move beyond basic requirements gathering. You will be a driver of global telecom innovation within a supportive and resourced environment.
  • We offer a competitive package, clear paths for career progression, and the satisfaction of seeing your analysis transform millions of customer connections.
